We are still working to iron out server issues. Expect further unannounced downtime.

| We have just released a new version of the Android Client. This client includes support for smaller screen devices, like that HTC Tattoo. This client also uses much less application memory by putting all of its downloaded images on your phone's SD card... |

| The update you've all been waiting for is finally here! Well, actually on March 4th (Thursday) at 3pm (US Central Time), it will finally be here. For now, the Hammer Room, the space Troodonts, the mysterious journal entry… all will be explained... |

| Lately I've been mulling over the purpose of that mysterious locked door in the upstairs of my manor. The old architect said she had big plans for that room. Too bad she perished before she told me what they were. Now I'm stuck with a door in my own house that I can't even go in. I'm not even sure if she finished the room or not. Though she did leave some old documents in the drafting room… |

| Now that the ability to make and sell Roc Shrine tickets has been available for a little while, we would like your feedback on how we can make this feature better and more useful... |

| In the client update, we fixed all sorts of performance stuff, but we ended up shipping a bug with the purchasing system. We submitted an update to Apple to fix this, but it has to be approved by Apple before it is available, so that could take a week or two. In the meantime... |

| We've got some cool new stuff for you. The servers will be going down on Feb 1st, Monday at 11:30am (US Central time) and when they come back up, there will be some new Valentine's Day swag in the trade posts and some new and improved features for your Manors... |

| Apple has just approved our first client update for the Age of Emergence. This is a solid update which won't change any of the game mechanics or features, but it will improve overall performance and stability... |

| If you've read the previous Update Hut post, you know that the game servers will be going down for an update tomorrow, Jan 18th at 10:30AM (US Central time). Here's a complete rundown of all the changes... |

Hey PK,
We've some cool new tweaks and new content to offer. There will be a server restart on Monday, January 18th at 10:30am (US Central time) and that is when the following changes will go into effect... |
| We've just launched a brand new notifications system for the game. This new system gives you much more control over what notifications you will receive outside of the game (aka email and text messages)... |

| Once again our amazing community has come through in a huge way. In December the Best App Ever Awards held nominations through online voting. The Parallel Kingdom community showed their dedication and as a result, PK is a finalist in FOUR categories! I'll say it again, our players never cease to amaze me! |
| Now that we're pretty sure the bugs have been fixed we wanted to make an official announcement of the referral program for Parallel Kingdom. If you get a new player to start playing PK, you'll get 200 Food that you can do whatever you want with (and the new player gets 1,000 Gold). We love referrals because it gets more people to play PK. Also, you are happier because you get free Food, and your friend gets to play a cool game they might have never heard about before... |
| We are looking at making Dogs better. Dogs were originally introduced to help new players get around so they could battle monsters and get resources as they begin their characters. However, we also see that veterans want to use their Dogs, power them up, and have them as traveling and battle companions. We think there is some room for improvement in both of these areas... |

| As you may have noticed, the website header now has a great new feature for sending gifts of PK Food to friends and relatives... |

| Getting ready for the holiday season? We thought it would be great to introduce some fun items to let everyone celebrate the holiday cheer in PK... |

Dear Players,
Today I get to announce our first "call for feedback." We tremendously value your feedback, so we've added a new section to the Update Hut called "Feedback." Here will be your chance at giving us direct feedback on a certain topic...

First, many thanks to all our Apple users that were frustrated and unable to play. Hope you're having fun and enjoying AoE. We've been working hard trying flush out a few remaining bugs so hopefully your experience will keep improving.
To show our thanks for your patience, we've decided to let all the Apple users that had an account prior to November 23rd receive a free Apple Hat or 120 Food... |

In our travails through the App Store review process, we reached out to a journalist to tell him the story of PK and our frustrated players. Dave Rosenberg, one of CNET's bloggers, decided to help us get the word out about what we've all been going through...

Dear Players,
I want to thank everyone for posting your thoughtful comments and suggestions, and hanging with us through this unfortunate situation. We have read all your feedback but wanted to wait before responding so that we didn't get caught up in the emotion of the situation. Please know that all the devs sympathize with all the Apple users as well as the Android users that are facing this tough situation... |

Dear all beloved PK players,
I have some very sad news for you, it looks like Parallel Kingdom Age of Emergence iPhone client will not be approved by Apple in time for tonight's launch at midnight CST. None of my connections or emails can get Apple to move any faster to get AOEm in your hands sooner. I am so sorry!
The Plan:
Age of Emergence servers will still be launched so everyone with an Android device will be able to enjoy the new Age. As soon as the app is approved, iPhone/iPod Touch users will also be able to enjoy the same... |

| Yes, you heard it correctly. The Great Library has been built and the servers are being updated. It's a long process, but we'll be back up with, the Age of Emergence available, on midnight CST on Friday night (Nov 13-14)... |

Hey PK! Are you excited about the Scroll Hunt? Well, we've decided to release a bunch of new info while you're waiting for the hunt to begin...

The Age of Emergence is going to bring the flood! No longer will your character walk around on water like it was a normal chunk of land. In the upcoming Age, you will be able to battle new monsters and collect valuable resources out in the water, that is, as long as you don't get seasick on your raft.
Here's how water will work... |

| Have the fortunes of war finally changed? For the past week, the enemy's endless assault of the land bridge protecting our homeland has pushed our line back to this precarious position. Early this evening, as our outer line of defenses collapsed... |

By far, one of the most requested features (and rightly so) is some sort of official trade functionality. It's finally going to arrive with the Age of Emergence! Finally, no more dropping items on the ground and trading like Neanderthals.
Here's how the new trade system is going to work...

Sunrise
I'm set to head out with Bucko to hunt down some Rocs. I'm outta feathers, and ever since I had that mix up with trolls the other day they won't sell me feathers no more... and ever since that rascal from way over yonder tricked me I don't trust tradin' with other folks no more, so huntin' 'em is the only way it's gonna work. I just invested a bit into my new bow, so I think I'm all set... |

The Age of Emergence will begin with four different types of dungeons available. They are:
Cavern - A harrowing journey through an abandoned Troodont cave. Well, you thought it was abandoned until you went inside!
Roc Nest - We finally get to enter the nest of the vicious beast... |

| I hope we make it out of here. Serves us right, abandoning all common sense to wander aimlessly in this maze of chambers, infested with troodonts and wolves. But if we don’t, this journal will serve as a final record, a testimony that Harbo was dead on when he warned me this wasn’t a good idea... |

| As you may have noticed, we've updated the Parallel Kingdom website. If you enter the site through the homepage, then I'm sure you already came across our snazzy new slideshow. If not, check it out. One of the other major changes that you will want to pay attention to is the page you're currently on called the "Update Hut"... |

We want to give everyone a sneak peak of an upcoming feature in the third Age. And as an added bonus we will end your speculation on the name of this upcoming Age.
The Third Age, The Age of Emergence, will have a vastly improved competitive rankings system...

Parallel Kingdom was just featured in an exciting new article about augmented reality gaming in Thirteen 1 magazine. Among the many acronyms that describe PK (MMO, RPG, RTS, TRG), augmented reality (AR) also applies to some extent, and we were happy to see that our use of GPS and Google Maps was recognized as one of the current successful applications of augmented reality gaming...

| I was doin my rounds on my friend Derkin's land this morning, clearing dusk trees and chasing the spiders away. His neighbor to the south, an educated do-gooder called Brin Proffer, has been up to something fishy lately so I decided to venture closer to his land an sneak around a bit... |

| Hey PK! On Monday, August 17th at 10am, the servers will be going down for approximately 2-3 hours so we can add a few more features. We've been working hard trying to improve the game and incorporate more of your suggestions. Here's some of the changes you'll notice... |

| The monks are changing things in my village. They are opening their ancient books and reviving long forgotten powerful skills. I've seen men with giant wheeled carts and pickaxes heading to the mines for days at a time. When they come back, they are head-to-toe black and the contents of their carts are just as dirty. They take the huge carts into the forest and soon plumes of dark smoke rise above the skyline. I've heard they're smelting iron in there. Smelting iron! My father told me of it when I was younger, but he said it was forbidden knowledge known only to the dirty trolls and ancient Troodont clans... |

As I'm sure you're all aware, Parallel Kingdom is really unlike any other game out there. Because of the location-based aspects and territory control, the game and those that play it, operate in interesting and unique ways... |

| Today I met Roald Parry in the forest. Second largest landholder in the region. He usually has a stock of Halvar’s Resin with him and I like to trade for it if I see him. Turns out he’s staked a claim in the forest. After talking for a while he offered me a right of passage through his land for a paltry three gold pieces, saving me a five mile hike... |
